Welcome to the Kendal LETS website. LETS - Local
Exchange Trading Systems or Schemes - are local
community-based mutual aid networks in which
people exchange all kinds of goods and services
with one another, without the need for money.
Kendal LETS is one of about 400 group in the UK, with over 300 members through the scheme since it started, of which 150 are active at any one time!
On this website you can find out more about our local Kendal LETS scheme and how it is set up. You can view the Directory to see what it is that is that our current members are listing under Wants and Offers. To add your Offers or Wants you will need to join us as a Member!

Seeking new enthusiastic members for the LETS steering group!
Chairperson
We are looking for a new chairperson to head up the steering group and to take over the compilation of the printed directory.
Publicity & PR
To actively pursue new membership, perhaps though talks to local groups and to co-ordinate with the events organiser to publicise events etc in order to gain the maximum attendance. Good presentation skills and confidence with public speaking would be useful.
Event Organiser
We’d like someone to arrange/organise a LETS event at some point. An excellent chance for someone wanting to build some experience in events management!
